I loved the current sketch over at Cardabilities and so followed it very closely for my first time entering one of their challenges! I used the colour scheme from the Dynamic Duos site – even though this particular challenge has closed I loved the Real Red/Bermuda Bay combo so thought I’d give it a go with this card. All supplies are SU.
Thanks for looking,
This is my first time entering the colourQ challenge! I needed a card for my son’s friend who’s turning six and this palette seemed like a good option for his card, below.
The Bashful Blue panel is embossed with the SU Alphabet Press folder – my background in book publishing has given me a weakness for anything with typography on it. The main image is from the SU Ronald McDonald set Tag It. To give the balloons a little more dimension I added crystal effects.
Thanks for looking!
Ooh so long between posts – I guess that’s what happens when you move house (twice), build a home, pack your youngest off to school and start back at work :). I have managed to do the odd bit of paper crafting now and then, but am really hoping to make it part of my regular routine again. So I am setting myself the challenge to make a couple of cards each week, post them here and hopefully enter some challenges. Wish me luck!
Yesterday I managed to make two cards. Not particularly complex but on the card above I did enjoy colouring the leaves directly on the rubber with SU markers. And the one below is a possible Christmas card option for this year. Both cards use all SU supplies.
