I really enjoyed Ashley’s video here demonstrating angled backgrounds. I decided to make my own stamped patterned strips for a few of the angled layers. Plaid backgrounds are so much fun to create and I used Papertrey Ink’s Super Stripes set to do the plaid and striped layers you can see in the card. I also used the sun and falling snow stamps from City Scenes to create other strips. The photo below shows them a little better.
I white heat-embossed the sentiment on the label to help make it stand out a little more against such a heavily patterned background. Sorry for the quality of the shots – I’m still experimenting with our new camera!
Stamps: Papertrey ink Background Basics Super Stripes, Papertrey Ink City Scenes, SU Apothecary Art
Ink: SU Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple
Cardstock: SU Whisper White and retired DSP
Other: SU Labels framelits, white embossing powder, white gel pen
Thanks for looking!

Thanks so much Annette!
Great card and fab mix of patterned papers and hand stamped design.
Love the fact that you hand stamped some of your layers…great idea and think I’ll have to try that! :0)
