Make It Monday #146: Angled Backgrounds

Angled1

I really enjoyed Ashley’s video here demonstrating angled backgrounds. I decided to make my own stamped patterned strips for a few of the angled layers. Plaid backgrounds are so much fun to create and I used Papertrey Ink’s Super Stripes set to do the plaid and striped layers you can see in the card. I also used the sun and falling snow stamps from City Scenes to create other strips. The photo below shows them a little better.

I white heat-embossed the sentiment on the label to help make it stand out a little more against such a heavily patterned background. Sorry for the quality of the shots – I’m still experimenting with our new camera!

Supplies
Stamps: Papertrey ink Background Basics Super Stripes, Papertrey Ink City Scenes, SU Apothecary Art
Ink: SU Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green, Raspberry Ripple
Cardstock: SU Whisper White and retired DSP

Thanks for looking!
